What's New
✨ New Features
- Multicore JIT for Faster Application Startup: Methods required to open rooms and the launcher are recorded and compiled across multiple CPU cores to speed up subsequent launches.
- Improved Image Handling in Notes: Images can now be inserted directly from the clipboard, copied files, or the Insert Picture command in room notes and Pause node notes. Large images can also be resized when inserted.
🐞 Bug Fixes
- Fixed Sequencer Overall Results: Passed, Failed, and Not Tested are now determined using all available evaluations. Rooms without any evaluated results are correctly marked as Not Tested.
- Fixed Unintended State Setting Changes: Opening a room or changing the application language no longer resets settings associated with the current State type, including scale, color, VectorView arrows, and Transient and Tracking settings.
- Fixed Unnecessary Save Prompts: Closing a room or node that has not been modified no longer displays the “Room changed” prompt.
- Fixed Node Report Removal in VCC: Unchecking a node now correctly removes its report from the report window for both existing and newly added nodes.
- Fixed VCC Report Generation Issues: Report file-not-found errors have been resolved, and report generation continues without unnecessary interruptions.
- Fixed Image Display in Reports: Images inserted into room notes and Pause node notes are imported correctly and displayed at appropriate dimensions in reports.
🔧 Improvements
- Faster Room and Launcher Startup: Multicore compilation and deferred creation of the State details window reduce room startup time. In one measurement, opening a Sequencer file from the launcher improved from approximately 8.2 to 6.2 seconds.
- Faster VCC Startup and Parallel File Processing: VCC file contents are now extracted using multiple CPU cores. For a 153 MB file, extraction time decreased from approximately 3 seconds to 0.6 seconds.
- Faster Room Loading and Report Generation: Unnecessary formatting and searches have been eliminated during room loading. In one measurement, average loading time per room for report generation decreased from 951 to 548 milliseconds.
- Faster Room Opening and Closing: Initial report generation now takes place after the room window is ready, and closing VCC child rooms is faster. Opening VCC with large files has also been significantly improved.
- Optimized VCC Report Generation and Updates: Reports are regenerated only when necessary. Report setting changes update only relevant rooms, and open rooms running in separate processes no longer block other reports.
- Reduced Image Size in Notes and Reports: Large images in Pause node reports are resized according to their displayed dimensions. When inserting images larger than 1600 pixels into room or Pause node notes, users can choose to reduce image dimensions and file size. This reduces report size and improves responsiveness in VCC.
- Reduced Launcher CPU Usage: Network adapter scanning and connected-device list updates have been optimized. In one measurement, launcher CPU usage while connected to a device decreased from approximately 1.6 CPU cores to 0.2 cores. The device list file is also cleaned up automatically.
- Reduced CPU Usage in VCC and Rooms: Summary tables and reports are refreshed only when changes occur, and memory cleanup runs less frequently while idle. Measurements show a substantial reduction in idle CPU usage.
- Faster Enumeration Value Processing: Reading enumeration value descriptions throughout the application is now faster.
- Improved Earth Protection Warning Timing: The Earth Protection disabled warning is displayed after the room window is ready, preventing unnecessary delays to room startup and initial report generation.
- Improved CEO Message Display: The CEO message is now displayed for connected devices and appears no more than once per day.
